While working as a Budget and Financial Analyst I managed a $43 million budget for Special Research and Development Projects with the Naval Space and Warfare command. My budgets went to Congress, requiring me to report to congressional staffers. My budgets were required to ensure obligation and expenditures rates as well as keep projects on time and on budget. Those specific funds could not legally be over expended or used for anything else then the designed project, development, or testing. I consistently exceeded budgetary goals. I am confident that bringing this experience and perspective to the role of Port Commissioner will be a valuable addition to the Port team.
